Q: Can I be notified when new mentors join Kinekt?
A: Yes! There are 2 ways to be notified when your favorite talent joins Kinekt! Subscribe to our newsletter and follow our social media accounts.
Q: How much does it cost for a mentorship session?
A: The cost of a Kinekt Session is set individually by each mentor in the Kinekt Marketplace. Therefore, the price will vary depending on which mentor you request. The price is shown on the mentor’s booking page when you make your request. Prices can change at any time, but you will be charged the effective price at the time of reserving your Kinekt session. If your request has expired (ie:the mentor becomes unavailable for a short period of time increases the booking price when once available again), you would pay the new and current booking price.
Q: How do I purchase a mentorship session?
A: All of our Mentors can be found on the Mentor Page — search through categories, pick your Mentor, fill out the request form, and click the “book now” button. You can pay with Paypal.
Q: Can I update my request after I already booked a Kinekt session?
A: Yes! Using the link in your confirmation email, you can edit or cancel your order at any time before your session. Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance may not receive a full refund. Please see our cancellation policy.
Q: What topics can I discuss with the Mentor?
A: In order for you to get the most out of your session, plan out your goals at the time of booking and use your time efficiently to get your questions answered and your discussions fulfilling. Try to keep your inquiries within the categories that the mentor has specificed on their Kinekt profile and please avoid questions of a personal nature.
Q: Am I guaranteed that the Mentor I select will make my requested Kinekt session?
A: Mentors keep their calendars updated and take your time seriously, but sometimes things come up that may require a reschedule. Kinekt will notify you if there is a need to reschedule or cancel and you will have the option of getting a full refund instead.
Q: Can I record my Kinekt session on Zoom?
A: You are welcome to record your session through Zoom if you so choose, in order to reference it for future use. If your chosen mentor requests that you do not, please respect their wishes.
Q: What if I accidentally leave the Zoom meeting?
A: Please find the link to return to the meeting in your confirmation email and resume. We ask our mentors to wait a total of 5-10 minutes before leaving. If you need to resolve an issue you can email support at kinektofficial@gmail.com
Q: What if I lose internet connection?
A: You can message us to see about rescheduling the remainder of the session. We will try to make arrangements on your behalf by speaking to your Mentor for which the session was cut short.
Q: When will I be charged for my Kinekt session?
A: You are charged in full at the time of booking.
Q: What if my Mentor doesn’t show up for my Kinekt session?
A: This rarely happens, but you can contact support at kinektofficial@gmail.com and a resolution will be made to reschedule or refund.
Q: I missed my mentor session, now what?
A: You can contact support at kinektofficial@gmail.com and a resolution will be made to reschedule or refund. Please do your best to make your scheduled sessions and keep in mind that full refunds may not be issued without 24 hours notice of a reschedule or cancel.
Q: What’s your cancellation policy?
A: You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance from your Kinekt session. Cancellations that are requested less than 24 hours in advance may not receive a refund.
Q: Can I ask to collaborate on a project with my mentor?
A: Solicitation is against our Terms & Conditions. The mentor is there to lend their expertise to your project, and to share experiences and knowledge to help develop your passion and career. Please refrain from soliciting work,requesting access to their network of resources, requesting collaborations, or anything of that nature
